On September 20, the Chicago Loop Alliance Foundation's 15th Annual Illumination Gala raised more than $256,000. Funds will support public art projects and events in the Loop, including ACTIVATE, the Gateway, winter activations in the Pedway, State Street banner projects, and more. This year’s Illumination Award Honoree was Dean Lane, area general manager of the Palmer House and Hiltons of Chicago, for his dedication to Chicago Loop Alliance and his tireless efforts to serve the City of Chicago's hospitality and tourism community. The Illumination Award highlights civic and community leaders who, through their ideas, leadership, and counsel, have increased the experience and well-being of Loop businesses, residents and visitors.
