October 21, 2015—Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center held the exhibition opening event for the Midwest premiere of Light & Noir: Exiles and Émigrés in Hollywood, 1933–1950, open through January 10, 2016. The exhibition illuminates the stories of film icons that fled Nazism and became the actors, directors, writers, and composers of Hollywood’s “Golden Age.” During the public program, actors performed scenes from Casablanca and Skirball Curator Dr. Doris Berger explored themes from the exhibition.
