Staff, family, and friends gathered at La Bodega del Barrio to toast Chicago magazine’s longtime dining editor Penny Pollack, who recently announced her retirement after 30 years. Pollack joined the magazine as a part-time dining assistant in 1987, before working her way up to dining editor in 1994. “Penny is a civic treasure whose name is synonymous with dining out in Chicago,” says Susanna Homan, editor and publisher of Chicago magazine. “We are lucky that her wit and insight have graced our pages for three decades.”
