On November 11, the family of 5-year-old Charley Kauf—who was born with a rare, life-threatening genetic skin disorder called epidermolysis bullosa (or EB)—hosted their inaugural fundraising event to benefit EB Research Partnership. Emceed by ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt, the event at Savage Smyth featured entertainment by Kat V and DJ White Shadow, and raised more than $320,000 for EB Research Partnership, the largest nonprofit dedicated to funding research aimed at treating and curing EB.
