In an uncertain time, physical and mental well-being are more critical than ever — but because of social distancing and bans of large gatherings, most of the city’s studios, gyms, and wellness centers are now shuttered.

But while working out or meditating with a group IRL is nice, it’s not essential for strengthening muscles, cranking up your heart rate, or zoning out. A growing list of the city’s facilities and trainers have gotten creative, offering virtual sessions via Zoom, Instagram Live, and other services. Some charge up front while others are free (though most will accept donations or payments; many of their profiles include a Venmo link).
