In its first few weeks, Latinicity (Block 37, 108 N. State St., Loop, 312-795-4444) has become a scene in every sense of the word. The pan-Latin food hall inside a sprawling downtown shopping center tries to have something for everyone, and it was so successful at that in its first week that it had to close down for a full 24 hours to restock after a few days of high demand.

And while the tacos and tortas get most of the attention, don't sleep on the spot's big, horseshoe-shaped bar, where you'll find beer, wine, and margaritas aplenty, but also sangria and caipirinhas, pisco and mezcal. So yes, grab that seviche and some chaufa. But wade your way back to the bar and nab a Paloma to wash things down as well.

Here's what all we saw when we stopped in.
