July 14, 2011--PAWS Chicago, the city's largest No Kill, humane organization hosted the 9th Annual Beach Party on Thursday, July 14th at Castaways Boathouse at North Avenue Beach. This year's event had more than 400 people and 100 dogs in attendance, making it one of Chicago's largest pet-friendly social gatherings. The event was co-chaired by Dawn and Jim O'Neal and Nancy and Ron Officer. Presented by North Community Bank, Pomellato, and Bonnie and James L. Spurlock, the Beach Party was a great success and raised more than $210,000 for homeless pets! Read more
