As summer weather finally arrives, here are four outdoor workouts that reward your sweat session with sunshine, warm breezes, and green grass to collapse on when it’s all done.

Trail Running

The much-anticipated Bloomingdale Trail is finally open for business. And for Emily Hutchins, owner of On Your Mark Coaching and Training (OYM), that business means lacing up her sneakers and leading groups on two 30-minute runs a week. The running classes start at the Bucktown OYM studio (1753 N. Damen Ave.), and take place Tuesdays at 9 a.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m. Classes are scheduled through the end of the summer, and cost $25 for a single or $200 for 10. A Rooftop Sweat Session

Shred415, a local fitness studio, recently partnered with Hotel Palomar Chicago (505 N. State St.) for a series of workouts held high above the city. Each Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m., the classes meet on the hotel’s 17th-floor terrace, where guests soak in city views while powering through 60 minutes of high-intensity interval training. Classes will run through September, and spots can be reserved on the Shred415 website. Each session is free for hotel guests and $25 for others.

Sun Salutations

Later in the summer Equinox will begin hosting sunrise yoga classes on the rooftop of Hotel Lincoln (1816 N. Clark St.). Held Wednesday mornings at 7 a.m. from July 8 to 29, the classes offer 60-minute yoga sequences with themes such as “Deep Flow Vinyasa” and “Balance & Strength.” Classes are $10 for Equionx members and $20 for non-members. Work off Your Buns

And now for something a little bit different. Wow Bao manager Julie Collier is training for the Chicago Marathon and wants to let her Asian-snack-eating customers in on the fun. Each Monday at 6:30 p.m., a group gathers outside Wow Bao’s Lakeview outpost (2806 N. Clark St.) and sets off on a path that will increase in distance throughout the summer (the first session was held June 8.) The reward? A complimentary post-run ginger ale and discounts on Wow Bao bites. There’s no cost to participate. For more information, call 773-433-5333.
