This Week’s Top Story

Versace (933 N. Rush St., versace.com) is now open in the Gold Coast. The bi-level boutique exudes the brand’s famously ornate style—think floors inspired by Byzantine mosaics. The shop carries men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, and the spring collection is currently in store.

With an “urban jungle” theme, the collection features utility jackets, pencil skirts with slits, and blousons decked with acid leopard print. You’ll also find animal-print gowns, platform heels with safety buckles, and sequined sandals made with frayed chiffon.

Top Sales This Week

Icebreaker (44 E. Walton St., icebreaker.com) is hosting its “Last Chance” sale through April 24. The sale offers 50 percent off winter items including mid layers, outer layers, and base layers for men and women. The brand specializes in outdoorsy and athletic gear made with merino wool. Fun fact: The fabric has anti-bacterial properties that allow Icebreaker’s gear to be worn several times between washings.

Anthropologie (111 E. Chicago Ave., anthroplogie.com) is offering an additional 25 percent off sale items. Staffers don’t know when the sale will wrap, but predict that it will last another week or so. The sale section currently has dresses, skirts, jackets, shoes, hats, jewelry, and more. There are also bins of assorted goods including paper journals and wallets.

Sporty brand Adidas Heritage Retail Store (923 N. Rush St., adidas.com) is offering 30 percent off select styles. The sale section includes T-shirts and hoodies; there are also a number of sneaker styles on sale.

Karen Millen, the women’s store on the third floor of the 900 North Michigan Shops (900 N. Michigan Ave., shop900.com) hosts its Friends and Family Sale April 4 to 10. The sale takes 25 percent off select items.

Trunk Shows

Dimitra’s Bridal (1009 N. Rush St., dimitrasbridal.com) will host a trunk show for designer Inbal Dror April 8 to 11. On April 10, the store will also host a runway show previewing Dror’s Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 collections. To schedule an appointment for the trunk show, call 312-787-0920.

Neiman Marcus (737 N. Michigan Ave., neimanmarcus.com) holds a trunk show for jewelry line Sydney Evan on April 9. Designer Roseanne Karmes founded the line in Los Angeles, and counts Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lawrence among her fans. Karmes’s designs are inspired by travel and California culture, and are made with 14-karat gold and precious and semiprecious stones.

Krista K (3458 N. Southport Ave., kristak.com) has two trunk shows happening this week. One, showcasing goods from Rachel Olesker Jewelry, wraps today. Another show, which displays spring leather jackets from Doma, runs through the weekend.
