This Week’s Top Story

This summer, beloved local jeweler Lester Lampert (37 E. Oak St., lesterlampert.com) will move to a new location in River North. To mark the occasion, the store will host its first-ever (and likely, only) sale for at least a month. There will be discounts up to 60 percent on a range of fine jewelry. The company has been in business for 96 years and has designed custom baubles for the likes of Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Vince Vaughn.

Top Sale This Week

Handle With Care (1706 N. Wells St.) is offering an additional 25 percent off all sale merchandise, until the goods are gone. The sale racks hold women’s styles from brands like Cupcakes and Cashmere, JBrand, and Parker.

Openings

UNTUCKit (untuckit.com) specializes in shirts that end before the pocket line and are made to be worn “un-tucked.” The brand’s first Chicago store is now open on the second level of the 900 North Michigan Shops (900 N. Michigan Ave.); it will celebrate its grand opening on the afternoon of May 17. Inventory includes the brand’s signature button-downs, along with Henley tees and polo shirts.

Saks Off Fifth (saksoff5th.com) opens a new store at Newcity Lincoln Park (1457 N. Halsted St.) today. The 40,000-square-foot store (yep, it’s massive) stocks more than 800 designer labels for men, women, and children; you’ll find clothing, shoes, and accessories.

Closing

According to WWD, Lanvin will close its Chicago shop at 116 East Oak Street within the next two weeks. A St. John boutique will likely take over the Oak Street space.

Pop-Up

Monica + Andy (monicaandandy.com), the children’s clothing brand, is hosting its first-ever pop-up at Oakbrook Center Mall (100 Oakbrook Center, Oak Brook, oakbrookcenter.com) through June 1. On the first level of the mall next to Crate & Barrel, the pop-up slings shortalls, bodysuits, and even vegan motorcycle jackets for tots. It will also host family-friendly events including music classes and story time.

Collaboration

The Olivia Palermo + Chelsea 28 collection will be available at the Chicago Nordstrom (55 E. Grand Ave., nordstrom.com) starting May 9. The nine-piece collection includes a shirtdress, wide-leg trousers, and a tie-neck midi dress. View the styles here.
