March 16, 2013--Carson Pirie Scott presented their spring trends with a runway presentation at the Yorktown location hosted by Chicago magazine's editor-in-chief, Elizabeth Fenner. Guests admired the florals, nautical patterns, and bold pops of colors as they came down the runway. Chicago magazine selected one lucky attendee to jump start their spring shopping with a complimentary shoe and handbag. The event featured artwork by Jennifer Webster, Deb Clemente, Michelle Courier, Shannon Cunningham, Diane Dammeyer, Terri Tito, Bohdan Gernaga, Christine Towner, Eli Zilke, and Lee S. Brown. November 7, 2012--Chicagoland’s design lovers came out in support of the Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) at Chicago Home + Garden’s third annual Chairs for Charity event at Cosentino. The evening featured a silent auction of one-of-a-kind, reimagined vintage chairs from 15 of Chicago’s top designers. Guests enjoyed delicious hors d’oeuvres from Texas de Brazil, wine from City Winery, and beer from Peroni. The event raised more than $8,000 to fund Chicago-area HIV/AIDS service agencies that provide direct service, preventative education, and outreach to people who are HIV positive, living with AIDS, or at risk for infection. October 26, 2012--Chicago magazine celebrated our editorial dining coverage at the second annual Chicago’s Table event held at the River East Art Center. More than 300 attendees dined on delectable dishes from 12 of the city’s best restaurants and chefs—picked from the pages of Chicago magazine—and sipped perfectly paired cocktails from Bulleit®, Don Julio®, Ketel One®, and Tanqueray®, as well as beer from Blue Moon Brewing Company and wine from City Winery. The Tile Shop provided a fantastic champagne bar and Cadillac furnished complimentary valet service. The event raised more than $8,000 for The Auxiliary Board of Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s work in support of research and therapies for stroke patients at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Read more
