All Paws on Deck Party

July 11, 2007- Marking its fifth year, Chicago pet lovers and their-four legged friends will once again storm Castaways at the North Avenue Beach House on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. Last year's event was hosted by PAWS Chicago Development Board and co-chaired by Richard Doermer, Kimberly Gleeson, and John Vaile. It was attended by more than 500 people and raised over $130,000.

Chicagoans of the Year Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel

January 18, 2007 - For the 13th consecutive year, Chicago magazine was pleased to introduce its Chicagoans of the Year, nine individuals who have made vital contributions to the life and spirit of the city during 2006. This year’s honorees ranged from the two dancers who founded an annual AIDS fundraiser to the doctor who invented a revolutionary prosthetic. The magazine celebrated their achievements at its annual Chicagoans of the Year luncheon on Thursday, January 18, 2007, at the Four Seasons Hotel. Recipients also received a $1,000 donation to the charities of their choice courtesy of the Chicago Tribune Foundation. Read more
A Hard Rock Day – A Hard Rock Night

On Wednesday, August 30th, Chicago magazine, the Hard Rock Hotel, and China Grill hosted an indoor/outdoor rooftop rendezvous in the Hard Rock Hotel's Hamer Room, an intimate space with a view of Michigan Avenue. This two-hour cocktail reception welcomed nearly 100 guests, including the Hard Rock Hotel's VIPs and Chicago magazine agency clients. This night of education and exploration allowed guests the unique opportunity to receive instruction led by expert Chopping Block chefs in an intimate environment. York Furrier 75th Anniversary

October 18, 2006 - Chicago magazine helped to celebrate York Furrier's 75th Anniversary with an event on October 18, 2006. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and cocktails while browsing the exceptional collection of furs and fine outerwear. Raffle tickets were sold throughout the night for chances to win fabulous prizes. Proceeds from the raffle and a portion of sales throughout the holiday season benefited the Lizzadro Museum of Lipidary Art in Elmhurst, IL. Read more
