It’s the first-ever springtime One of a Kind Show (222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, oneofakindshowchicago.com) at the Merchandise Mart this weekend, Friday through Sunday. After 15 years of celebrating artists and their handmade work during the holiday season, the spring edition will feature over 300 talented makers in addition to food and entertainment. Find home accessories, sculptures, fiber arts, wood furniture, mixed media arts, and much more. Check out the website for helpful tips and gift guides for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, or graduation.

Join Chicago Luxury Beds (440 N. Wells St., chicagoluxurybeds.com) May 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. for its second annual Dreaming of Design event. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine, and champagne while viewing beautifully designed bedroom vignettes by Mitchell Channon, Ilene Chase, Kristina Curtis, Randy Heller, Soucie Horner, Barbara Ince, Hunter Kaiser, and others. If you can’t make it Tuesday, vignette designs will be on display for the entire month of May.

In need of some kitchen inspiration? Join the 31st Annual Kitchen Walk this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to tour stunning kitchens in historic Oak Park and River Forest. This year’s walk includes ten exquisitely designed kitchens renovated in the prior year by Chicago-based Rebekah Zaveloff of KitchenLab and other local designers. Tickets can be purchased via the Parenthesis Kitchen Walk website.

Interior Define (833 W. Armitage Ave., interiordefine.com) and The Everygirl, a lifestyle website, have come together again to launch a new furniture collection named Caitlin. The sofa, chaise sectional, and chair come in 30 custom fabrics. Alaina Kaczmarski and Danielle Moss, co-founders of The Everygirl, were inspired by classic designs with a modern touch. They describe Caitlin as their take on the classic club sofa with super-soft cushions that can fit perfectly into a casual apartment or a formal living space.
