Pyar & Co. (807 W. Dickens Ave.), a home furnishings spot known for its handcrafted pillow collections, will host a holiday studio sale tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. and December 4 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can get up to 70 percent off pillows, poufs, cushion covers, throws, tabletop wares, quilts, blankets, and children’s décor.

MegMade (2415 W. Barry Ave.), a custom furniture and restoration shop, will host a holiday party open house tonight from 5 to 8 p.m. You can enjoy appetizers, wine, beer, hot chocolate, and a cookie bar while browsing the showroom. While you’re there you can take advantage of 20 percent off showroom furniture.

Pagoda Red (400 N. Morgan St.), a high-end gallery carrying Asian home furnishings, has opened up its in-store holiday gift pop-up shop. You’ll find wooden Chinese type sets, lucky gourds, Tibetan tsaklis, Central Asian tear catchers, and ceramic roof tiles remade into soap dishes. Gifts start at $8.

Jayson Home will present its Analogue Shop at the Allis at Soho House Chicago (113–125 N. Green St.) this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The shop, honoring all things old school (think pens and typewriters), will feature curated small gifts with signature wrapping as well as holiday greens and flowers. Open to the public, guests can color calendars and gift tags designed by Jayson Home, use vintage typewriters with an array of vintage paper to write poems for stocking stuffers, craft ornaments, and take pictures using an old school Polaroid.

Next Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., Restoration Hardware at the Gallery (1300 N. Dearborn Pkwy.) will host a book launch party for Michael S. Smith, author of The Curated House. Smith, the Elle Décor Designer of the Year in 2003, was the designer appointed by Barack and Michelle Obama to redecorate the residential quarters of the White House in 2008. You can have your copy of his book autographed and enjoy small bites and bubbly.

Need to revamp your home office space? Office Designs (720 Landwehr Rd., Northbrook) is having their annual holiday sale now through December 14. You can snag 15 percent off select office lines, including Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, and Kartell, as well as free shipping. Stop by the showroom or visit the website to see what’s in stock.

The holiday season means a ton of craft fairs are popping up around town. This weekend, One of a Kind Show will take place at the Merchandise Mart (222 Merchandise Mart Plaza). From December 3 to 6, more than 600 artists from across North America will bring their handmade creations such as furniture, sculptures, fiber art, ceramics, home accessories, and more to spruce up your space.

Meanwhile, Columbia College art students and alumni will sell original artworks, prints, sculptures, ceramics, and more at the ShopColumbia Holiday Market (623 S. Wabash Ave.). The market will be open today through Saturday starting at 11 a.m. each day, and most items will cost under $50. See the website for more information.

Lastly, the Renegade Craft Fair returns to the Bridgeport Art Center this Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Local jewelry and accessories designers will hawk their wares while local radio station Chirp provides the tunes. You’ll also find D.I.Y. workshops and some tasty snacks.
