A few months ago I was a judge for the Chicago chapter of the American Institute of Architects’ inaugural Small Firm/Small Project Awards, and all the entries have now been posted on the AIA’s site. Several of the winners, including the home shown here by Froelich Kim Architecture have appeared in our magazine or blog (though of course I was not allowed to point that out to other jurors as we were judging!). Firms in the competition have nine or fewer licensed architects, and projects had to come in under $500,000. Look for some more of the winners in our magazine in coming issues!
