I made my first visit to The Randolph Street Market this weekend, and had a great but toasty afternoon in the sun. After just 30 minutes, I scored a funky pink side table from Rare Rubbish, a vintage letter ‘E’ from a downtown store facade, and a gold-framed map of Paris. Other standout items included a collection of red industrial letters, vintage trunks, Heywood-Wakefield coffee tables, and inventive mirrors framed with reclaimed, hammered-tin ceiling tiles. The festival returns August 28–29 on the 1350 block of W. Randolph St. and inside Plumber’s Hall (1340 W. Washington, 312-666-1200). Tickets: $9 online, $12 at the door, and $5 for students.
