Anyone who has been to an artist’s studio, furniture maker’s workshop or designer’s storage space knows that these creative types tend to collect amazing stuff. So when it comes time for them to unload their loot, the getting is good. Open Secret Studios (401 N. Racine Ave.) is hosting a Collectors Bazaar on Friday, May 30, 6 to 11 p.m. and Saturday May 31, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Find raw materials, vintage miscellanea, funky objects, hardware, tools, costumes and more. Food trucks will be onsite and DJ Lawrence will be spinning on Friday night.

Home furnishings consignment warehouse Coyle & Herr (200 W. 35th St.) is holding a Warehouse Sale through May 30. More than 200 items by designers such as Bertoia, Henredon, Baker, and Herman Miller are 50 percent off.

Women’s boutique Robin Richman (2108 N. Damen Ave.) will hold its 17th Annual Yard Sale on Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Since this is a clothing store, you will find mostly past season clothes and accessories, but vintage store displays, furniture and other objects will be on sale, too. Richman has an amazing eye, so you’re sure to stop and linger over something, if not scoop it up immediately.

Designer Michael Aram will be making a personal appearance at Bloomingdale’s Old Orchard (4963 Old Orchard Center, Skokie) June 5 from 1 to 4pm. The product designer is celebrating his company’s 25th anniversary and has created a special commemorative collection. Spend $180 or more and you can have your purchase signed by Aram, plus receive a special gift.

The River North Design District is hosting a conversation about the best of this year’s Salone Internazionale del Mobile on June 5, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Casa Spazio (222 W. Hubbard St.). Panelists include product designer Felicia Ferrone, Italian furniture exporter Marco van Velsen, and kitchen designer Scott Dresner, moderated by Design Bureau magazine’s marketing director, Jenny Palmer.
