Carlos and Debbie Nieto have been cordially welcoming people to the posh environs of Highland Park’s Carlos’ for longer than many chefs have been breathing, so you’d better believe they know a few things about running a restaurant. That’s why we’re expecting more from the Happ Inn Bar and Grill, their new 150-seat spot in a familiar address (past tenants include Haussmann Brasserie, MK North, Brasserie T), than we would from any other straight-up burger/pizza/sandwich spot. Assets include a bucolic outdoor patio, old family recipes, and organic grass-fed beef. And, of course, Carlos and Debbie. 305 S. Happ Rd., Northfield; 847-784-9200.
