Giuseppe Scurato transcends his Sicilian origins at this Uptown storefront—opposite a cemetery, no less. The perfectly cooked lamb shank, bolstered by an orange-and-quince daube, would be right at home on Blackbird’s menu. Leticia Zenteno’s desserts—especially the chocolate soufflé tart with tangerine compote—are equally good. Too bad the concrete room is so loud.
