Fat Rice’s best dishes should be shared, including a curry-drenched Portuguese chicken with chorizo and cabbage as well as a pork belly that redefines sweet-and-sour with pineapple and tamarind. The pricey Arroz Gordo reinterprets paella by smothering baked jasmine rice with raisins, chicken fat croutons, and a jaw-dropping array of meats and seafood, such as linguiça sausage, salted duck, prawns, and char siu pork.
