Prairie Grass Cafe

601 Skokie Blvd.
Northbrook, IL 60062

George Bumbaris and Sarah Stegner make it all look so easy. Order just about anything on their refreshingly uncomplicated farm-to-table menu—a velvety old-school French pâté, Greek sausage rimmed with stewed lentils, Asian-style spring rolls, or Parmesan-crusted tilapia with creamed spinach—and you’ll feel comforted for days (or at least until morning). Your taste buds won’t be challenged or surprised, but they will be satisfied with honest and true flavors, not to mention some of the best pies around.
