A good fit with the financial and theatre districts nearby, this graceful second-floor space showcases the addictive Italian flavors of Chris Macchia. Baby peppers stuffed with homemade fennel sausage in a deft tomato sauce with mint and goat cheese guarantees smiles, as does chestnut fazzoletti (handkerchief pasta) with shrimp, mushrooms, and roasted tomato. Pork shank melting in a braise of onion and orange beckons from its earthy bed of farro risotto and puffed barley; whole roasted branzino comes beautifully matched with minty roasted cauliflower and Calabrian chilies. Adept service, fine Italian wines, and pistachio cheesecake with figs round out the meal.
