There’s nothing subtle about the décor in this casual seafood spot—giant plastic fish swim beneath the rafters, and wine bins are shaped like waves hurtling across a choppy sea—but many of the uncomplicated dining options will impress. There are plenty of staples to enjoy, including chowders, a raw bar, and a fun Chicago-style crab cake with caramelized red and green peppers and red onions. But the main draw is a choose-your-own-catch option, where guests select their seafood and then decide how they want it prepared and choose its accompanying sides. A Lake Superior whitefish with lemon balsamic butter, prosciutto, and smashed potatoes is a find—as are the pricey but ultrafresh crab legs.
