ANGEL D’CUBA AT SUMMERDANCE

When it comes to salsa in Chicago, it doesn’t get any hotter than this: a free dance lesson under the stars, followed by an evening of boogying to the sounds of this spicy Havana-born multi-instrumentalist and his supergroup on 7/28.

DETAILS:

7/19–9/16 After its 16th season kicks off at Taste of Chicago (7/11–15), the dance party returns to its regular location, with one hour of lessons followed by two hours of live music and dancing in swing, waltz, tango, Latin, disco, and world styles. Some come just for the people-watching. Thu–Sat 6–9:30, Sun 4–7. Free. Spirit of Music Garden, Grant Park, 601 S Michigan. Details, schedule: chicagosummerdance.org.
