ARTS & CRAFTS More than 300 indie artists gather for Wicker Park’s Renegade Craft Fair (September 7 to 8; renegadecraft.com). . . . Vintage bazaar Randolph Street Market (September 28 to 29; 1340 W. Washington St., randolphstreetmarket.com) concludes its outdoor season.

HOME DECOR Local furniture makers, home accessory designers, and vintage collectors create tented mini-shops along Grand Avenue (from Damen to Wood Avenues) during Design Harvest (September 28 to 29; design-harvest.com). . . . Usually accessible only to trade pros, the Design Center at the Merchandise Mart (merchandisemartdesigncenter.com) hosts a public sample sale from September 6 to 8. Shop furniture, lighting, rugs, and more at up to 75 percent off.

MENSWEAR Haberdash (haberdashmen.com) opens its third store—complete with a coffee bar—in the Shops at Roosevelt Collection (150 W. Roosevelt Rd.) midmonth.

MENSWEAR & WOMEN’S WEAR The New York–based designer Steven Alan (stevenalan.com) opens his first Chicago outpost this month at 1657 North Damen Avenue. Look for Alan’s heritage-inspired line alongside labels such as Isabel Marant and Acne.

SHOES On September 5, the edgy women’s shoe brand Melissa (shopmelissa.com) unveils its collaboration with the designer Karl Lagerfeld in a pop-up store at Space519 (900 N. Michigan Ave.). Check out the goods (from $135) through the end of the month.
