* Via @nocoastoffense, a documentary by Sonali Aggarwal (Whatever Happened to Hip Hop?) about "ghetto house," the less-well-known (it's something of an acquired taste) transition from Chicago's house and juke genres. I like this description: "That music is the precise intersection between Steve Reich and 'Larry’s Theme' by Grandmaster Flash!"
From Jack to Juke: 25 Years of Ghetto House from Sonali Aggarwal on Vimeo.
* Chicago Humanities Festival: like TED but longer.
