Between October 25 to 29, more than 500 people celebrated the opening of the groundbreaking, multimillion dollar Take a Stand Center at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center. The permanent exhibition features three interactive galleries, such as the Abe & Ida Cooper Survivor Stories Experience—which uses 3D holography to enable conversation with 13 recorded Holocaust survivors—and the Take a Stand Lab, which offers hands-on tools for affecting change. The center will guide visitors through multiple social justice issues and empower them to stand against hatred in all its forms.
