On October 3, Splash and Chicago magazine hosted 350 guests for the ninth annual Chairs for Charity event at Marshall’s Landing. Fourteen local designers were tasked with reinventing old chairs into new works of functional art, which were then auctioned off. Attendees enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, wine, and specialty cocktails courtesy of Till Vodka while placing their bids. Proceeds from the auction benefited Designs for Dignity, a charity that transforms the spaces of nonprofits through pro bono design and in-kind donations.
