Arrested Development’s Alia Shawkat @ Debonair Social Club

Posted Aug 9, 2010 at 05:24 PM

Loads of cardigan sweaters, mullets, headbands, and cleavage—and that was just the guys. When our photographer visited Debonair Social Club Thursday for the first in the bar’s string of Lollapalooza parties, he spotted a veritable style parade. But we only have eyes for Alia—as in Alia Shawkat, a.k.a. DJ Mae Funk (the befreckled brunette in the purple shirt), who played Michael Cera’s adorably disenfranchised cousin Maeby Fünke in the much-missed Fox show Arrested Development. Shawkat took to the turntables around 1 a.m.; see our photos below, then visit our Lollapalooza galleries for more fashion, more bands, more everything.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
