Weekend Photos: Pl-zen

Posted Dec 3, 2012 at 11:25 AM

It’s not often that Seen on the Scene takes us to Pilsen, so when we heard of the new subterranean gastropub, Pl-zen, we zipped over to 18th Street. The crowd was rather sparse on Saturday night, but we got the sense that the neighbors have embraced the homey joint, which sports murals showcasing the ‘hood’s industrial roots and booming arts scene, and features an upscale pub menu from a chef who also clocked time at Kuma’s Corner.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
