Watching the Blackhawks Win at Stanley's

Sunday night’s victory brought the Blackhawks within one game of taking home the Stanley Cup—and, other than the United Center, what better place to watch the drama unfold than at the aptly named Stanley’s Kitchen & Tap? Our photographer dropped by the Lincoln Park bar to snap locals’ reactions to game 5; if you like what you see, head there on Wednesday to watch what could be the clincher in Hawks’ first championship since 1961—or visit one of Chicago’s 50 other Blackhawks-approved bars. Also: Relive game 1 with our photos from Market.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
