Nightlife Photos: St. Patrick’s Day at the Irish American Heritage Center

Posted Mar 18, 2011 at 12:20 PM

Regardless of age or country of birth, everyone was Irish last night—grandpas, babies, hipsters, even Mayor-elect Emanuel—at the Irish American Heritage Center’s St. Patrick’s Day bash. The family affair was a true crowd-pleaser, with kids sipping sodas and practicing dance moves to live music (The Chancey Brothers, The Boils) while the 21-and-up crowd tossed back pints in the center's Fifth Province pub. Browse our photos below.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
