Weekend Photos: Palace Nightclub

Posted Nov 8, 2010 at 03:51 PM

A less-than-packed second night in business meant our photographer had his pick of angles—Should he shoot the 25,000 square feet of marble? The hand-laid mosaics? The Palace Girls dancers? Yes, yes, and yes!—at Palace Nightclub (1242 W. Randolph St.; 312-772-6104), when he arrived a little before midnight on Friday. The new crystal-encrusted nightspot, carved from the interior of the West Loop restaurant Alhambra Palace, is now open Thursdays through Saturdays, with a cover charge of $20. Browse our photos below.

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
