Weekend Photos: Huettenbar

Lederhosen, lager, Lincoln Square: Must be the North Side hamlet's German Day Festival (a.k.a. Oktoberfest). Our photographer caught folks midpolka on Friday, the first night of the weekend-long fest, before heading inside the neighborhood tavern Huettenbar (4721 N. Lincoln Ave.; 773-561-2507) for more beer and Gemütlichkeit (a.k.a. goodwill).

About Seen on the Scene

Call it bar hopping by proxy: Each week we send our photographers into the thick of the action to capture the latest openings and the most buzzed-about events; then, on Mondays, we post the photos here, where you can view them without getting elbowed in the side or having a drink spilled down your pants. You’re welcome. And for those who do run into our photographers out and about, be sure to smile for the camera.
