If you're debating between visiting Scofflaw and newbie neighboring sibling spot Sink|Swim (3213 W. Armitage Ave., Logan Square, sinkswimchicago.com), you'd think the easy way to pick one would be whether or not you wanted dinner–after all, Scofflaw's a bar first, while Sink|Swim touts its restaurant credentials with pride. But as it turns out, it's not actually quite so simple: Sink|Swim's mixing up some drinks that are destination-worthy in and of themselves.

When we stopped in Saturday night (moments after the Blackhawks game had ended, hence the spare crowd on hand), the oceanic vibe was in full force: the faint scent of oysters being shucked at the raw bar, oil paintings of men who straddle the line between Ernest Hemingway and the Gorton's Fisherman, and just-beachy-enough cocktails (such as the tiki-esque Painkiller bedecked with a little umbrella.)

Here's what else we saw when we swung by.
