Artango Bar & Steakhouse Is Finding Its Groove in Lincoln Square

The drinks take their inspiration from Argentina’s Golden Age.

Even though it was a relatively calm night on Saturday (blame it on a combo of a new space and inclement weather), signs point to Artango Bar & Steakhouse (4767 N. Lincoln Ave., Lincoln Square) having some serious charm when it finds its footing.

Artango itself is not new, per se–this is a dinner-and-dancing standby, recently relocated from Ravenswood to a much larger Lincoln Square space and updated to focus more on steaks and Argentine cocktails with some golden-age glam. Though there wasn’t much in the way of dancing when we visited (word is Friday’s a big weekend night if you’re looking to get your tango on), there was still plenty of drinking happening, with the emphasis on fruit-forward cocktails that aren’t too cloying.

Here’s what we saw when we stopped in.
