You could trudge through the slush-filled streets of Chicago’s northwest side, stomping snow off your boots before ducking into boutique after boutique, in search of a sales rack. Or, you could spend an easy hour flipping through discounted merchandise from a dozen of Wicker Park’s well-loved stores, all while sipping a cocktail.

It’s a no-brainer. This weekend, 12 boutiques are getting together for the first Wicker Collective Warehouse Sale, where stores will deeply discount threads from seasons past while also showcasing new inventory and collections. Women and men can both score deals, with co-ed stores like Penelope’s, Study Hall and Kokorokoko participating alongside other boutiques and jewelry designers like Trillium, Mulberry & Me, and Shades of Grey.

It all goes down Saturday and Sunday, March 8 and 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m at at The Chop Shop (2033 W. North Ave., 773-537-4440, chopshopchi.com) in Wicker Park. Admission is free, and signature drinks will be served at the event. See the full list of participating stores at thewickercollective.com.
