Chicago-based lifestyle brand Iridium Clothing Co., founded by local designer “Platinum” in 2008, officially opens its first brick-and-mortar shop to the public today.

Located at Block Thirty Seven (108 N. State St., 312-775-2456,, the store specializes in fashion-forward streetwear and accessories for men and women, including quilted leather pants, studded biker jackets, and leather-paneled t-shirts, which range from $55 to $500.

The number 77, a nod toward the brand’s name, is woven into many of the designs: 77 is the prodigal number for Iridium. (Congrats if that means something to you.)
