July 23, 2009–PAWS Chicago, the city’s largest No Kill, human organization hosted the 7th Annual Beach Party on Thursday, July 23 at Castaways Boathouse at North Avenue Beach. This year’s event had more than 400 people and dogs in attendance, making it one of Chicago’s largest pet-friendly social gatherings. Presented by Escada and featuring The Underwater People, the Beach Party raised more than $160,000 to support PAWS Chicago’s efforts to build a No Kill city.
