Cremini mushroom Benedict and a Bloody Mary

Brunch every day? Why not?

Cruise on over to this funky Logan Square café attached to a music venue and order plain or fancy eggs, pancakes, and French toast just about anytime the mood strikes (7 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday to Friday; till 3 a.m. Saturday).

Among chef-partner Tamiz Haiderali’s specialties are a luscious cremini mushroom Benedict ($10), ham and eggs with pesto ($11), and saag paneer scramble ($12), all sided with a spicy potato cake.

If you’re thinking a big, bold Bloody ($8) would be nice with any of those, you’re right. Espresso French toast with honey chèvre mousse, served with housemade chai syrup, hits the sweet spot. Sandwiches, soups, and salads make the scene at 11 a.m.; a blackboard lists a daily soup and special entrée. Seared sea scallops with rapini and yogurt crème ($14) was a recent winner.

Warm bread pudding studded with dried fruit ($5) makes a great finish with a 16-ounce cup of high-octane Dark Matter coffee, especially if you intend to stay late and groove to the live music.
