July 13, 2013–The Chicago Architecture Foundation and AIA Chicago opened a secluded beach house in Indiana for an afternoon tour. This cozy home is situated on Lake Michigan sand dunes and features sustainable, local materials. Participants in this “At Home” program heard from the homeowners and the architect, John DeSalvo, while enjoying refreshments. Afterward, they toured the home and relaxed on the sun-drenched roof deck.
