The November 2012 cover for subscribers (left) and newsstand sales (right) are each up for awards.

The American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) has an annual design contest for the best magazine covers in the country. We’re happy to announce that Chicago is up for two awards for the same November 2012 issue—and you can vote on your favorite!

The cover that sold on newsstands, which showed Au Cheval’s fried bologna sandwich dripping with cheese and Dijonnaise, is up for the Most Delicious category.

The subscribers’ cover, which showed President Obama’s back to the camera as the 2012 election approached, is nominated as one of the Best Obama covers of the year.

If you want to support our sandwich (or the president) you can Like each cover on the ASME Facebook pages in the links above. We’ll find out the winners on May 1. In the meantime, you can browse through a ton of great covers on the ASME Facebook page for the entire contest.
