6/15 at 8 Buika, a flamenco fusion singer with jazz training, hails from Spain, with roots in Equatorial Guinea. Although she dabbles in electronica, this show will focus on her acoustic work, with vocals ranging from eclectic to operatic. $38–$40. Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N Lincoln.

 This Caribbean group recorded one of the most popular world-music albums ever released, Wátina, in 2007. After the death of its founder, Andy Palacio, a year later, it has carried on with its mesmerizing Afro-Amerindian music, complete with rich vocal layering and indigenous percussion. $20–$22. 6/30 at 9 Amid numerous alt rock and Americana singer-songwriters, this guy stands out with his strikingly genuine lyrics and heartfelt melodies. A child of 1990s rock groups, Goss displays hints of Counting Crows among surprise moves in his arrangements and instrumentation. $10. Uncommon Ground, 3800 N Clark.
