New-music ensemble Eighth Blackbird released its newest album, Meanwhile, in September. Last week, the band released a music video for the title track in collaboration with Manual Cinema, a Chicago-based performance group made up of puppeteers, graphic artists, and musician-composers. The video pairs Eighth Blackbird’s playful, yet evocative music with beautifully silhouetted vignettes of household objects disrupting everyday life in an open-backed dollhouse setting.
