Oprah Winfrey announced in a March issue of O Magazine that she'd be auctioning off the contents of her 23,000-square-foot estate near Santa Barbara. What, exactly, would be up for sale? Everyone had to wait until 10 am today, when Kaminsky Auctuions drew back the curtain, to find out.
Turns out, it is a ton of stuff. Like, the most completely overwhelming estate sale you could ever imagine. (It is, after all, Oprah's house—what did you expect?)
So after browsing through 29 pages of lots on Kaminski's site, a few themes have emerged. Here's a quick guide to the some of the more intriguing goods on the lot.
A bunch of portraits of Oprah
Exercise equipment galore
There's basically an entire page full of her friend Bob Greene's workout machines. Stationary bike: $800 to $1,000
A little house from the big house
Good luck figuring out where to put this Japanese tea house. $10,000 to $15,000
Electric bike bonanza
There are at least five up for auction (all signed "Ride On! Oprah Winfrey" on the handlebar). $1000 to $2000
What home doesn't need a 19th-century antique Chinese wedding bed? $750 to $1000
