With back-to-shopping season upon us, there’s no better time of year to give your home a fresh look. But where to start? Meet Refined Haystack, a new service that helps take the guesswork out of the process by connecting you with the best stores and local designers for your style and budget.

Here’s what we love most:

The stores: Scroll through profiles of 55 top-notch local shops, including heavy hitters—Circa Lighting, Jayson Home and Garden, Architectural Artifacts—as well as indie darlings such as Modern Cooperative and Brimfield. Each profile offers photos of the store/showroom as well as a brief description and average price tag. You can also tailor your search based on the item or room you’re looking to re-do, or by the store’s design style, neighborhood, price, and more.

The designers: The city’s most talented designers can be found under the Designer Registry, with descriptions of signature styles and specialties, as well as tons of photos from previous projects. Each profile includes links to the designer’s social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest), which allows you to learn even more about the designers from afar.

The reviews: Not only can you read reviews of stores/showrooms from the pros, but you can view products they’ve tagged and get to know where they find the best local home décor in the area. To communicate directly with the designer, click the Inquire button.

Oh, and did we mention the site is free? It’s a win-win for everyone.
