This Week’s Top Story
Lighting, hardware, and home goods store Rejuvenation (1000 W. North Ave., rejuvenation.com) has opened in Lincoln Park. The store is located in the Sheffield Commons Shopping Center, which houses a host of similar stores such as corporate siblings Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Williams-Sonoma. Spanning 6,000 square feet, this Rejuvenation location marks the brand’s first Midwest outpost.
“Chicago has such a love for architecture, and it’s a love that we really share,” says Alex Bellos, Rejuvenation’s vice president and general manager. “From Arts and Crafts, to Prairie homes, to Victorian, to midcentury, to international style, to architecture of today, we’re really passionate about using our product to enhance and restore architecture.”
This location marks a milestone for the Portland, Oregon-based retailer as it unveils a new store model. In addition to Rejuvenation’s signature lighting (think chandeliers, pendants, and sconces) and hardware, shoppers here can peruse furniture and home goods as well, both vintage or new.
Among Rejuvenation’s latest offerings are chandeliers from the Willamette Collection. Focusing on shimmer and scale, Rejuvenation began working with an artist near Venice, Italy, who crafts these pieces using hand-slumped glass. The result, says Bellos, are “beautiful and prismatic chandeliers that give the look of a crystal chandelier in a really modern, updated way.”
