Every so often the name of a store beckons you inside. The other day, zooming down Lincoln Avenue hoping to avoid traffic on the way home from a day of appointments on the North Side, I was nonetheless compelled to pull over and check out a resale shop called Surplus of Options (3664 N. Lincoln Ave. ). What a clever name, I thought to myself—I owe it to Design Dose readers to check it out! The store offers mainly vintage clothing, but there is plenty of quirky stuff here if you’re trying to loosen up your décor a bit or have a summer home that needs some kinda-kooky character. Pictured above, a crazy array of garden ornaments, along with vintage blankets and curtains.
