Need a splash of color in your life? These ceramic vases and figures, originally designed in the 1950s by Aldo Londi for the Italian company Bitossi, have once again been put into production (by the same company) in limited numbers and are available at Design Within Reach. They are so happy-chic… wait, that’s Jonathan Adler’s shtick (surely his ubiquitous designs were inspired by Londi—can’t blame him; the stuff is fantastic). The thing about mid-century pottery is that you can still find it (including Londi’s pieces for Bitossi) at vintage shops and on eBay, and it’s not as prohibitively expensive as the furniture from that era. Note to self: Buy some mid-century ceramics. They’re fabulous!
