Two things caught my eye when I stopped by my friend Tom Jolly’s antiques shop recently. One, a magnificent 18th century English copper roasting pan (my husband wondered how people lifted the thing back then). Tom had placed a bunch of candles in it and it looked great; we also thought it would be fabulous filled with pine cones, artichokes, or firewood. Its clean style makes it a good match for any décor. It’s big: 7 inches high by 25 inches by 20 inches, and is $2,400. The other was a butterfly chair (Antonio Bonet-style). I don’t think I’ve ever seen a butterfly chair in leather. It’s $1,200.
